  • Support by telephone, e-mail and an exclusive "BIA Student Forum" hosted on ABN's web site with access to over 1000 experienced bookkeepers.

  • For our Start Your Own Bookkeeping Business Program and the  BIA Bookkeeper Program there is one years FREE — full with no restrictions — membership (worth $462) of the Australian Bookkeepers Network (ABN), Australia's leading bookkeeper association — which will  enable you to start operating a contract bookkeeping business whenever you feel you are ready. This is achieved by your lodging your clients BAS returns legally through ABN BAS.

  • One years FREE student membership (worth $130) of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB), Australia's only recognised professional bookkeeper association. Full or Associate membership – which you will be eligible for once you have passed your Certificate IV in Bookkeeping – will also enable you to reduce the requirement for 1,400 hours of relevant experience to just 1,000 hours.

  • FREE membership (once you have graduated) of the Bookkeeping Institute of Australia which includes use the BIA Member logo on your business cards and stationary and access to the student members web site.

  • Once you have graduated, the exclusive right to use the post-nominal letters MBIA which stands for Member, Bookkeeping Institute of Australia after your name.

  • Once you have graduated, the right to call yourself a BIA Accredited Bookkeeper and to use the post-nominal letters AB after your name and to use the "BIA Accredited Bookkeeper" logo on your letterhead and business cards.

  • Once you have graduated and have an established contract bookkeeping business, your name and business details will be promoted on an exclusive page on the BIA Find A Bookkeeper website at www.bookkeepingaustralia.com.au.

  •                                 

In addition BIA will:

  • Help you with guidelines as to how to log the 1400 hours of relevant BAS and GST experience that you will need for re-registration.

  • Provide you with knowledgeable advice and support on the bookkeeping industry and the new laws

  • Provide you with a complete 4 day MYOB course (including payroll and GST/BAS) as part of your course fee

  • Provide you with Bookkeeping and GST textbooks which you will find essential in your own going employment or business
