Although computer accounting packages are the standard method of accounting, without an understanding of the underlying processes, users of these systems often have difficulty verifying results or troubleshooting. This 8 day course has been designed to introduce the theory and practice of basic accounting and bookkeeping as well as a good understanding of MYOB. The course introduces participants to the various source documents and journals required to establish a computerised set of accounts for a small to medium sized business. This course is excellent for people with little or no accounting experience. We recommend this course to anyone who has little or no accounting experience and is using – or is about to use - MYOB or any other computer accounting system. The course includes 5 days of self-paced training in MYOB and 2 days of comprehensive bookkeeping training in a trainer-led classroom This course incorporates the following courses:

Although this course is designed for participants with little or no knowledge of MYOB a reasonable working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and file management is desirable. If the participant does not have these skills they are taught on our course BI-210 Introduction to PC's, Windows and Office. A self-paced hands-on approach is taken during this course. A case study is used to produce real-life scenarios so that learners experience how to use the software to solve everyday problems and undertake routine tasks. You can take this course at our South Brisbane campus which is at 1407 Logan Road in Mt. Gravatt Central, ideally situated for both Brisbane CBD and Gold Coast students. There is plenty of free parking in the streets surrounding us.
