BAS Agents

Treasury have released a revised draft bill for the creation of an official status to be known as a BAS Agent.

This legislation will replace section 251L of the 1936 Income Tax Assessment Act which sets the rules for contract bookkeepers who receive a fee for giving GST/BAS advice or lodging BAS statements.
